Job Summary
House Supervisor Level 1 in the healthcare setting, assigned to a critical access facility. This role provides leadership and operational oversight for both the Emergency Department and Acute Care units, ensuring safety, staffing efficiency, and quality patient care. The position requires hands-on supervision, clinical expertise, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
Job Details
- Position Description: TRAVEL EXP Charge and ER EXP REQ House Supervisor RNmust be able to work in the Emergency Room as a second nurse. The role involves floating between units and supporting clinical operations. No on-call or block schedules are required; rotating weekends are part of the schedule.
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid state license (compact license preferred), ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, NRP certifications, at least 2 years of experience including charge nurse or supervisor experience, and experience working in the Emergency Department. Must be able to work in the ER as a 2nd nurse with strong supervisory skills.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a critical access facility, proficiency with Epic electronic charting system, and previous experience with interdisciplinary support teams including physical therapy, radiology, and pharmacy.
- Additional Information: The House Supervisor provides leadership and oversight for emergency and acute care departments, supporting patient flow, care transitions, operational efficiency, and adherence to safety protocols. The role requires flexibility to support patient diagnoses ranging from minor illnesses to critical emergencies such as stroke, sepsis, and chest pain. Approximately 16 patient visits and a daily census of 16 patients are managed. The candidate should be prepared to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment requiring clinical judgment and supervision competencies.
