Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery/Obstetrics position requiring EPIC experience and specialized OB certifications.

Details

  • Obstetrics Acute unit within a community and regional teaching hospital
  • Night shift schedule with 36 or 48 hour weekly options, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
  • EPIC EMR experience required
  • Floating to Bakersfield required as needed

Requirements

  • Active CA RN license required
  • BLS certification required from an approved vendor
  • AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS certification required
  • S.T.A.B.L.E Certification required
  • AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification required
  • Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification required
  • BSN preferred
  • Acute care facility experience preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of specialty experience required, with recent experience within the last 3 months

Additional Information

  • Deliver coordinated nursing care for assigned patients using established standards and the nursing process
  • Supervise and direct nursing staff while coordinating care across disciplines
  • Collect and analyze patient data to determine diagnosis and care plans
  • Implement care plans, coordinate care delivery, and promote a safe healing environment
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to deliver safe and humane care
  • Provide patient and family education and participate in discharge planning
  • Delegate and coordinate duties among healthcare team members
  • Local candidates accepted with no radius rule, and local pay rates match travel rates
  • Candidates with more than 5 days of requested RTO will be automatically declined
  • Candidates with a prior disciplinary action on their license will not be considered
