Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring high-risk and high-volume delivery experience along with night shift availability.

Details

• Labor and Delivery unit within a hospital setting
• High-risk, high-acuity patient population
• Facility handles 200-300 deliveries per month
• Uses EMR: Epic (Stork experience preferred)
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, 36 hours per week
• Every third weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Float to Post-Partum unit 1-2 shifts per week required

Requirements

• Active RN license (Iowa or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN (fetal monitoring), and NRP
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Circulating experience required
• High-risk experience required
• High-acuity experience required
• Experience within the past year at a high-volume delivery center (200-300 deliveries/month) required
• Scrub experience preferred
• Multiple completed travel contracts preferred
• Comfortable floating to Post-Partum unit
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Supervisory performance evaluation or reference from within the past 24 months preferred

Additional Information

• Provide professional nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team supporting Labor and Delivery patients
• May be asked to float within the same discipline to local campuses
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Holiday coverage required: must work 2 of 3 major winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, Thanksgiving)
• Limited time off requests permitted during the Thanksgiving and winter holiday periods
• Candidates employed by the facility within the past 12 months may not be eligible for submission
