Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift position at a community hospital, requiring MA licensure and prior L&D and Postpartum/Mother Baby experience.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit within a community hospital's Family Birthplace, offering private rooms and specialized Cesarean birthing suites
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required, with holiday coverage required if needed
• On-call requirements may apply
• 13-week assignment length
• Requires own vehicle for the assignment

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required (compact license not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of current Labor & Delivery experience required
• Postpartum/Mother Baby experience required
• BSN required
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), NRP, and STABLE
• Skills checklists for Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Mother Baby (current within 1 year) required for consideration
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years required for consideration

Additional Information

• Collaborate closely with obstetricians and midwives to provide individualized care to patients and their newborns
• Work alongside experienced obstetrical nurses and lactation consultants
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered
• RTO requests must be submitted and verified prior to consideration; no more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted, and no requests will be approved after upload or during interview
• Must work two full holiday blocks if scheduled: Thanksgiving Day through the following weekend, Christmas Eve through the following weekend, and New Year's Eve through the following weekend
• Not eligible for candidates seeking to work this assignment in conjunction with another permanent placement or travel assignment
