Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring MA licensure and prior L&D and Postpartum/Mother Baby experience.

Details

  • Work in the Labor & Delivery/Family Birthplace unit of a community hospital offering maternity services
  • Private birthing rooms with infant warmers and monitoring equipment, plus dedicated Cesarean-birth operating rooms
  • 24-hour anesthesia and delivery services available
  • Collaborative care model with obstetricians, midwives, and lactation consultants
  • Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
  • Every other weekend required, with holiday coverage as needed
  • On-call requirements apply
  • Does not accept compact RN licenses

Requirements

  • Active Massachusetts RN license required
  • BSN required
  • Minimum 2 years of current Labor & Delivery experience required
  • Postpartum/Mother Baby experience required
  • Current BLS certification (AHA) required
  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
  • Current STABLE certification required
  • Skills checklists for Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Mother Baby (current within 1 year) required for consideration
  • One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years required for consideration
  • Candidate must have own vehicle for the assignment

Additional Information

  • Provide individualized labor, delivery, and postpartum nursing care in collaboration with physicians and midwives
  • Facility is a Joint Commission accredited Critical Access Hospital and MA DPH Primary Stroke Center
  • Recognized for high patient satisfaction, ranking in the top 10% of hospitals nationwide
  • Must work two required holiday blocks: Thanksgiving Day/Friday after and the following weekend, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and the following weekend, and New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and the following weekend
  • No more than 5 days of RTO accepted, and all time-off requests must be submitted and approved prior to offer
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered
  • Candidates seeking to work this assignment concurrently with another perm placement or travel assignment will not be considered
  • Candidates requesting schedule accommodations, such as block scheduling, will not be considered
