Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift contract requiring Level 3 L&D experience and a prior successful travel assignment.

Details

  • Labor & Delivery unit with Level 3 L&D acuity
  • Antepartum and postpartum patient care experience required
  • 12-hour night shift schedule
  • May float to the antepartum unit
  • Every other weekend required (Friday and Saturday nights)
  • No on-call requirements
  • Holiday coverage as needed

Requirements

  • Active IL RN license required
  • Current CPR and NRP certifications
  • Electronic fetal monitoring experience required
  • Telemetry monitoring experience a plus
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • 3+ years of acute care hospital experience
  • Strong L&D Level 3 experience along with antepartum/postpartum experience
  • Must have at least one successful travel contract
  • Two current professional references required, dated within the last year, with one from a supervisor/manager/charge nurse and one preferred from a travel assignment

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care in a Labor & Delivery unit supporting antepartum and postpartum populations
  • Local candidates accepted at the same rate
  • Non-billable orientation of 12 hours included
  • Credentials due by the Thursday prior to start date
  • Returning permanent or per diem staff must be separated for 12 months before being eligible as a travel candidate
  • RTO limited to a maximum of 3 days for 8-week contracts
  • Candidates will participate in a brief facility interview of approximately 10-15 minutes
