Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Description

The Registered Nurse is accountable for providing comprehensive care during the antepartum, intrapatum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of obstetrical care to labor and delivery patients. This role involves utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific judgment in planning and delivering safe patient care.
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and training.
• Delegate patient care priorities based on the education and experience of available staff.
• Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel in the delivery of patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and STABLE.

Work Schedule

Days, with floating required.
