Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring BLS, NRP, and 2+ years of experience.

Details

Labor and Delivery unit in a hospital setting
Full-time schedule of 36 hours per week on 7:00pm-7:00am shifts
Rotating holidays required
Every third weekend required

Requirements

Active RN license (IN or compact) currently in hand
BLS certification required (must be AHA)
NRP certification required (must be AHA/American Academy of Pediatrics)
ACLS certification preferred (must be AHA)
Ascension Fetal Monitoring competency required, or AWHONN/Relias equivalent within the past 2 years
NRP Advanced certification a plus
Minimum 2 years of experience required
Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols
Implement and monitor patient care plans while recording and communicating patient condition
Serve as primary coordinator across disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
Carry out physician and nursing orders
Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team
Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate depending on distance from the facility
First-time travelers may be considered for this position
