Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a 19-bed high-acuity unit requiring 2+ years of L&D experience and prior travel assignment experience.

Details

• 19-bed Labor & Delivery unit
• 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Patient ratios of 1:2 to 1:1 for high acuity patients
• On-call requirement of 12 hours within a 6-week scheduling period
• EMR system used is Epic
• Floating required, with travelers prioritized to float, including to sister campuses within 15-20 minutes of the facility

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring course completion required
• AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring course and EFM certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Nursing degree accreditation must be documented, or candidate must have 5 years of experience
• Driver's license address must match address on file with the Board of Nursing

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to high-acuity Labor & Delivery patients
• Travelers are expected to fully integrate and function as core staff within the unit
• Scrub colors required are Galaxy Blue and/or White
• Orientation begins on a Friday, requiring in-person presence for badge/ID, with remainder completed remotely
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront, as it will not be approved after start
• Hard document deadline is the Monday prior to start with no exceptions for pending documentation
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility, with strict enforcement of this requirement
• Candidates must not own or co-sign property within the 50-mile radius
• Full-time local housing within the area is expected for the duration of the assignment
