Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery (RN)

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team. This role requires a dynamic individual dedicated to providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Unit Information

The Labor and Delivery unit consists of:

Number of Beds: 16
Number of Staff: 120
Staff Composition:
- Day Shift: Charge Nurse, PCT, CST, RN
- Night Shift: Charge Nurse, PCT, CST, RN
Patient Ratios: 1:1, 1:2
Type of Equipment: Baxter Pumps, Phillips Electronic Fetal Monitoring
Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Cerner, Fetal Ink

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

Must Have:
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
- Experience with high-risk pregnancies
- Knowledge of immediate newborn care
Preferred:
- Circulating experience in surgical settings

Typical Procedures Performed

Our Labor and Delivery unit regularly performs the following procedures:

Vaginal Deliveries
Cesarean Sections
D&C (Dilation and Curettage)
Cerclage
Cesarean Hysterectomy

Required Certifications

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
Basic Life Support (BLS) / Advanced Life Support (ALS)
Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification
