Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring AWHONN fetal monitoring and NRP certifications.

Details

  • Labor & Delivery unit with 15 labor beds, 3 OR suites, 4 triage beds, and 3 Preop/PACU beds
  • Patient ratios of 2:1, 1:1 for patients on Pitocin, and 3-4:1 in APU and Triage
  • Performs procedures including C-sections, cerclage placement and removal, IUPC, and FSE placement
  • Uses EFM with Toco, ultrasound, pulse ox, BP cables, and NOVI equipment
  • Meditech EMR
  • Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • 13-week assignment

Requirements

  • Active TX or compact RN license required
  • BLS, ACLS, NRP (Advanced 9th Edition), and intermediate or advanced AWHONN (or NCCEFM) fetal monitoring certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
  • BSN, RNC-OB, and C-EFM certifications preferred
  • No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
  • US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
  • One professional reference required

Additional Information

  • Team includes secretaries, ANMs, relief charge nurses, and ORTs
  • Royal blue scrubs required
  • Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
  • Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
