Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a compact or OK RN license and weekend/holiday availability.

Details

Work in the Labor & Delivery unit providing care to expectant mothers and newborns
Night shift schedule from 18:30 to 07:00
13-week assignment length
Required to work up to 6 weekend shifts as needed per department needs
Holiday coverage required as needed per department needs

Requirements

Active RN license (Compact or OK) currently in hand
Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) through AHA and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) through AHA/American Academy of Pediatrics
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start
Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs and manage pain including epidurals
Assist with vaginal or surgical deliveries and educate families on postpartum recovery
Implement and monitor patient care plans while coordinating care across disciplines
Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team
Work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, stressful environment
Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required
Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate per facility radius rule
