Job Summary

Labor and Delivery Department specialty position. The role supports patients throughout labor, delivery, and recovery in a recently renovated unit with private rooms, modern equipment, hydrotherapy options, and multiple pain-management services. The unit also includes a Level IIB Special Care Nursery and promotes immediate skin-to-skin contact, rooming-in, bonding, and breastfeeding support.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Day shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Massachusetts license required at the time of submission; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Additional Information:
    • The Labor and Delivery unit includes 10 upgraded Labor, Delivery, and Recovery rooms.
    • Private rooms feature bathrooms with showers, overnight space for support persons, televisions, and other amenities.
    • Hydrotherapy labor tub, nitrous oxide, epidural services, and additional pain-management options are available.
    • The unit encourages immediate skin-to-skin contact and follows a rooming-in model.
    • The Level IIB Special Care Nursery supports specialized newborn care.
    • Assignment dates are scheduled from 11/30/2026 through 05/29/2027.
