Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) in a womens services unit located in northeastern Nevada. The position involves providing specialized obstetric care in a Level 1 nursery and postpartum setting, supporting adult and newborn patient populations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on maternal and neonatal health.

Job Details:

  • Location: Elko, Nevada
  • Schedule: Nights shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Active RN license, BLS, NRP, ACLS, Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring certifications, 2+ years of relevant experience in labor and delivery, postpartum, or nursery care, including management of hemorrhages, fetal monitoring, pre-eclampsia/eclampsia/hypertensive crisis patients, cesarean sections, OB triage, nonstress tests, care of newborns, and neonatal procedures
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in managing pre-eclampsia, cesarean deliveries, and neonatal care as listed above
  • Additional Information: The facility is an LDRP unit with 15 beds (6 Labour & Delivery, 9 Postpartum). Patient ratios adhere to AWHONN standards. Equipment includes Omnicell medication dispensers, Baxter pumps, Masimo monitors, and GE Centricity fetal heart rate monitoring. The unit performs labor, delivery, recovery, triage, postpartum, and nursery functions. The role involves caring for adults and newborns, supporting obstetric and neonatal procedures, and managing labor-related complications. The start date is 09/07/2026.
