GLC On-The-Go is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Salinas, California.
We are seeking an experienced RN specializing in Labor & Delivery (L&D) for a contract position in Salinas, CA. This role offers an opportunity to work in a leading acute-care hospital known for its commitment to high-quality patient care.
The facility is a 172-bed, Level II Trauma Teaching Hospital and the only Trauma Center in Monterey County. It has been voted “Best Hospital in Salinas Valley” by the Salinas Valley Reader’s Choice - 2022. The Labor & Delivery unit consists of 8 LDR rooms, 2 Triage rooms (which serve as Pre-Op for C-Sections), 2 ORs, and 2 PACU beds.
As an L&D RN, you will be responsible for providing care to a diverse patient population, including high-risk patients due to a significant diabetic population. The facility adheres to AWHONN’s Standards for Professional Registered Nurse Staffing, which specifies a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio for patients who are 6cm or greater dilated, on magnesium or insulin drips, and a 1:2 ratio for all other patients. RNs will follow patients through their entire care process, especially during scheduled C-Sections.
Orientation is held weekly on Mondays, and while ASAP starts are preferred, the facility is flexible on compliance to accommodate start dates and avoid delays.
