This role requires delivering safe, evidence-based care to patients across the lifespan, from infancy to adult, while collaborating closely with the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes and patient satisfaction.
Job Details
- Position Description: The Clinical Nurse II is an RN who functions as a full partner on the healthcare team, demonstrating safe practice within the organizational professional practice model. The role involves independently providing patient care through the application of the nursing process, with accountability for assigned patients' nursing care.
- Required Qualifications: Current California RN License, Current American Heart Association AHA Certification for Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), American Academy of Pediatrics Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification via Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN). A minimum of three (3) years of recent labor and delivery and antepartum experience. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
- Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
- Preferred Qualifications: Highly preferred high-risk antepartum experience.
- Additional Information: The nurse must be proficient in the operation of clinical equipment/machines, computers, and technology within the practice setting. The role involves guiding, assisting, and directing unlicensed assistive personnel as defined by the California Nurse Practice Act and organizational policies. The position requires a focus on patient-centered care, safety, evidence-based practice, and continuous quality improvement.
