Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse (L&D) specialty is needed at a healthcare facility in Wichita, Kansas. This position involves providing high-quality care in a delivery room setting, supporting patients through various obstetric procedures. The selected candidate will work primarily day shifts, contributing to a collaborative team dedicated to maternal and fetal health.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting from 10/19/2026 through 01/18/2027.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid license as a Registered Nurse (RN) with at least 1 year of current hospital L&D RN experience. Certifications include BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification or AWHONN.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with circulating C-section procedures and high-risk Labor and Delivery (LDR) experience.
  • Additional Information: The unit has approximately 26 beds and a staffing model involving a team nursing approach. Equipment includes Alaris pumps, PCA pumps, Monica Novii telemetry, and CPN monitors. The team features many nurses with 20-40 years of experience and has recently launched an OB Hospitalist program supporting residency. Self-scheduling is available, fostering staff satisfaction.
