Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) registered nurse position located in Kings County. The role involves delivering coordinated nursing care for patients in a hospital setting, supervising nursing staff, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective patient care.
Job Details
- Position Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN), Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice, CPR certification or Basic Life Support (BLS or HS-BLS or RQIBLS) certification from approved vendor, AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS, AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS, AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS, at least 1 year of experience in labor and delivery or a related acute care setting.
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, working a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Ability to take over a recovery in Labor and Delivery and catch a baby in cesarean sections. Must have EPIC electronic medical records experience.
