Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery Department Nurse in Templeton, California, provides specialized care to women during childbirth and postpartum. Job Details:
- Location: Templeton, California
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, Night Shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week, rotating shifts
- Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of a school of nursing
- Minimum of 2 years recent acute care RN experience in labor and delivery or a related specialty
- Current RN license in California
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from an approved vendor within 6 months of hire or transfer
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring course completed on hire and every two years thereafter
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with LDRP (Labor, Delivery, and Postpartum) care model
- Knowledge of AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring course (to be completed within 6-8 months if new to L&D)
- Additional Information:
- Actively participates in hospital committees such as Shared Governance
- Promotes excellent patient, family, and team communication
- Maintains professional licensure and certifications as required by state and hospital policies
- Demonstrates safe practices, infection control, and effective communication with colleagues
- Supports hospital policies and procedures, including safety and environmental standards
