Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse (L&D) for a healthcare facility in the specified location. This position involves caring for labor, antepartum, mother/baby, and postpartum patients, with experience circulating for cesarean sections. The role requires a dedicated professional with a focus on obstetric care and neonatal support.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 3 night shifts per week, 12 hours each, from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, totaling at least 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid California RN license, at least 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, BLS certification, ACLS certification, NRP certification, proficiency with Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM), experience circulating for cesarean sections, and familiarity with obstetric and neonatal procedures.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience as charge nurse and in community hospital settings.
  • Additional Information: Duties include administering blood and blood products, assisting with high-risk deliveries, performing sterile exams, providing postpartum and newborn care, and managing obstetric emergencies. The assignment involves transferring high-risk OB patients and neonates when necessary; delivery of newborns under 35 weeks or under 2500 grams is not required.
