Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Specialist in a maternity-focused healthcare facility. This role involves providing specialized care for antepartum, postpartum, and neonatal patients, including those in the NICU. The position requires quick interviewing, with an emphasis on experienced and qualified professionals, particularly those with current Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Labor and Delivery (L&D) experience.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: 24 months of current Labor and Delivery (L&D) experience, active Iowa or compact/multistate nursing license, EPIC electronic medical record certification, NRP certification, BLS certification, STABLE certification, ACLS certification, valid drivers license, and proficiency in medication administration including glucose, magnesium, Pitocin, and insulin.
- Preferred Qualifications: Nursery/Mother-Baby experience, postpartum experience, NICU experience.
- Additional Information: Orientation sessions scheduled for 09/21, 09/28, 10/05, 10/12, and 10/19. Candidates must be flexible to work 1-2 of the upcoming winter holidays unless the unit is closed. Candidates should have experience with electronic fetal monitoring (EFM), and skills checklists specific to L&D discipline are required.
- Submission Requirements: Rapid interviewing with phone call/text from a 405 area code. Candidates must have a 24-month recent L&D work history, current and active nursing license, and relevant certifications.
