Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse in Morristown. This position offers the opportunity to work in a high-risk labor and delivery unit in a large hospital facility. The role involves providing specialized care for patients in the Labor and Delivery Department, supporting maternal and neonatal health during high-stakes clinical situations.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred. Must hold an active RN license and have a minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in Labor and Delivery. Certifications include ACLS and BLS.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high-risk pregnancies in large hospital settings.
- Additional Job Functions: Demonstrates assessment skills, comprehensive clinical skills, and proficient documentation. Performs direct patient care with a focus on safety, professionalism, patient satisfaction, and adherence to the National Patient Safety Goals and Universal Protocol. Supports pre-operative and post-operative patient education and assessments, ensuring individualized care according to patient conditions and procedures. Contributes to team efforts by managing patient priorities and coordinating care for surgical patients, including pre-admission testing.
