Job Summary
L&Department - Labor and Delivery The healthcare provider is seeking an experienced Nurse to provide specialized care within the Labor and Delivery unit. This role involves independently delivering patient-centered nursing care for neonatal and adult patients, utilizing age-specific competencies, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.
Job Details
- Position Description: Provides professional nursing care for patients in the Labor and Delivery unit, managing neonatal and adult populations. Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. May supervise other staff nurses, licensed vocational nurses, nursing assistants, and clinical support associates.
- Certifications: CA License, BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN required.
- Education and Experience: 2 years of experience in a related field.
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Preferred Qualifications: Community hospital experience; labor and delivery experience preferred.
- Additional Information: On call as needed, no weekend requirement. The unit supports interdisciplinary collaboration including respiratory services, interpretation services, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary support. The team manages neonatal and adult patient populations, applying advanced clinical skills to promote safe and effective care.
