Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Department Nurse in a healthcare setting. This role involves providing professional nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum periods. The nurse will utilize their expertise and the nursing process to deliver safe, compassionate, and individualized patient care, demonstrating competence across different maternal age groups. The position requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes throughout the childbirth process.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid California registered nurse license, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) certification; minimum 2 years of relevant experience; located within a 50-mile radius of the facility.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a labor and delivery department, community hospital experience, and trauma level II experience.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: This position involves caring for neonate and adult patient populations, with a focus on maternal health and delivery. The unit features a team-based approach with interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, interpretation services, social services, and rapid response teams. Orientation hours are to be completed, and all certifications must be current and uploaded per submission guidelines. The contract runs from 09/22/2026 to 12/22/2026, with an onboarding process including labs to be completed within 3-5 days of contract signing. All compliance documents are due 10 days prior to start.
