Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse in a community-focused healthcare facility located in Hanford, California. This role involves delivering specialized nursing care in labor and delivery settings, supporting patients throughout childbirth, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective outcomes. The position requires supervising and coordinating care activities while adhering to established standards and protocols.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 08/24/2026.
- Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN); Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice; AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS certification; AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification; AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS certification; at least 1 year of nursing experience; facility-specific licensing/certifications as specified.
- Preferred Qualifications: Acute care facility experience and previous labor and delivery experience preferred.
- Essential Functions: Collects relevant patient data, employs critical thinking to analyze assessments, develops and implements care plans, and evaluates patient progress. Provides education to patients and families, participates in discharge planning, delegates tasks appropriately, and ensures a safe, caring environment. Engages in team collaboration, provides health information, and performs various duties related to patient care.
- Additional Information: The candidate must be able to handle recovery responsibilities during labor and delivery and assist with cesarean sections as needed. All associates are required to receive necessary vaccinations annually, with exemptions available where applicable.
