Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse in Waimea, Hawaii. This position involves providing specialized care on a five-bed obstetric unit that includes antepartum, labor and delivery, postpartum, nursery, and outpatient testing. The role requires extensive experience in maternal and neonatal care, with responsibilities ranging from high-risk obstetric management to newborn resuscitation and neonatal care. The ideal candidate will be able to work flexible shifts, including nights, and start on the scheduled date.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Rotating shift, 12 hours shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid licensure as a registered nurse; current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Fetal Monitoring (FM); experience in Labor and Delivery (L&D) department for at least 2 years; experience with antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, high-risk obstetric patients, and neonatal care. Ability to manage adult and neonatal IVs, perform newborn resuscitation including APGAR scoring, bulb suctioning, and assisting with circumcisions; skilled in fetal heart rate monitoring, intrauterine pressure catheter management, and external cephalic versions.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience floating to other departments as needed; proficiency with electronic fetal monitoring and neonatal care equipment.
  • Additional Information: Must be able to start on the set date of 08/24/2026, working any shifts with a preference for nights. Candidate must commit to working 80 hours every two weeks; availability to work holidays as applicable.
