The Labor and Delivery department in ROCK SPRINGS, WYOMING, is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for a night shift position. The role involves providing comprehensive care in a specialized unit that encompasses labor and delivery, postpartum, and neonatal care. The RN will support procedural and clinical responsibilities, ensuring patient safety and adherence to departmental guidelines.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, requiring a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: WY State or compact nursing license; minimum of 2 years experience in Labor and Delivery, postpartum, and special care nursery; certifications include BLS (American Heart Association), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring; 0 years of experience minimum in the role
- Preferred Qualifications: None specified
- Float: Float rotation may be required to other units/departments, including the medical floor or the emergency room; staff will assist with basic tasks without taking patient loads
- Additional Information:
- Local radius restriction of 50 miles; candidates outside this radius are preferred
- Call-off policy allows cancellation up to 24 hours before the assignment
- Unit features 3 labor and delivery rooms, 5 postpartum rooms, 4 triage areas, a recovering area, and an operating room suite
- Nurse to patient ratio aligns with AWHONN guidelines
- Two-day orientation covering EMR system, workflow, and supplies
- No current call requirements, but may change based on department needs
