Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) Location: Alaska. This position involves providing comprehensive care in a high-risk obstetric unit within a magnet-designated facility. The role requires a dedicated professional with a focus on maternal and neonatal health, supporting deliveries, antepartum, and postpartum patients, with an emphasis on high-risk cases and triage.
Job Details
- Certifications required include BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced, and NRP.
- Education and licensing: Must hold an active Alaska RN license in hand for auto-offer; pending licenses accepted but must be in hand for immediate consideration.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in Labor and Delivery.
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- The role involves working every other weekend, with no float required unless within scope, and candidates cannot be local residents (must be at least 50 miles from the facility).
- Additional clinical responsibilities include assisting with high-risk deliveries, cesarean sections, administering medications such as magnesium sulfate and Pitocin, and using electronic fetal monitoring.
- Candidates must be willing to work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year) and complete required modules prior to start.
- The assignment duration is from 11/02/2026 to 05/03/2027, with a guaranteed 60 hours every two weeks.
- Submission must include two references covering one year (or six months for CNAs) within the past three years.
