Labor and Delivery Nurse (L&D) Nights Location: unspecified. This position involves providing specialized care to obstetric patients during night shifts. The role supports high-risk deliveries, labor management, and postpartum care within a busy delivery department.

Job Details

  • Certifications required: ACLS; AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, and NRP (pending certifications are acceptable).
  • Education Requirements: Relevant healthcare certifications, and at least 3 years of experience preferred.
  • Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in Labor and Delivery, with experience in antepartum, assist with high-risk deliveries, use of external fetal monitoring, and sterile vaginal exams.
  • Responsibilities include assisting with high-risk deliveries, conducting fetal monitoring, maintaining sterile environments for deliveries, and providing postpartum care.
  • The department supports a patient census of 100-200 births per month, with a total of 15 beds and 15 rooms.
  • Support services in the facility include respiratory, interpretation, pharmacy, and social services, among others.
  • Travelers are expected to float within their scope as needed, with brief orientation provided on the unit.
  • Previous charge experience and charting system familiarity are preferred.
  • Candidates must be compliant with all travel and licensing requirements, including obtaining necessary licenses prior to start.
