Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse in the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, working within a 25-bed Labor and Delivery unit. This position involves providing comprehensive maternity care with rotations between day, evening, and night shifts, including one night of call and every other weekend coverage. The role requires delivering quality clinical care to mothers and newborns in a fast-paced setting.

Job Details

  • Certifications Required: Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) License, American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification, renewed every 2 years.
  • Education & Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in Labor & Delivery.
  • Position Location: Obstetrics and Gynecology department within a healthcare facility.
  • Shift & Schedule: Rotating shifts between 7:00 am to 7:30 pm, 11:00 am to 11:30 pm, and 7:00 pm to 7:30 am, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Position Responsibilities: Providing clinical care for laboring mothers, managing postpartum patients, circulating, and newborn care. Monitoring patients with magnesium, epidural management, and fetal assessment.
  • Additional Requirements: AHA ACLS certification is preferred.
  • Submission Requirements: License verification, professional resume, references, skills checklist, and candidate submission coversheet.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
