Job Summary
Labor and Delivery RN Location: unspecified. This position involves providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in the labor and delivery department, including deliveries, circulating cesarean sections, antepartum patients, and attending to newborns in the initial assessment. The role requires adherence to clinical standards and collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education, and Experience Requirements: BLS certification, RN license in the state of employment or a compact license, current certification from one of the following: AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) Instructor, AWHONN Instructor Trainer, or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM), current NRP certification, and current ACLS certification. A Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred. A minimum of 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty is preferred.
- Schedule: 7:00AM-7:00PM, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Responsibilities: Provide independent, competent nursing care following the scope and standards of the appropriate professional organization. Administer medications and treatments utilizing approved protocols, monitor for side effects, document patient history and care, and provide education to patients and families.
- Additional Information: Newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire and complete all onboarding and competency validation requirements.
