Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery (L&D) specialty position is located in White Plains, New York. This role involves providing care on a high-risk obstetric unit, with a focus on managing both low and high-risk antepartum and postpartum patients, including C-section cases. The position requires strong clinical skills in a fast-paced environment and involves performing full exams and assessments independently.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid license to submit, ACLS, BLS (AHA), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications, minimum of 2 years of experience in a labor and delivery setting, consistent with the specialty requirements.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high-risk obstetrics and managing high-risk pregnancies.
  • Float: Float: Float rotation may be required; staff may be tasked in OB or nursery but will not take patients in other units.
  • Additional Information:
    • Unit notes include a minimum parking fee, beds include triage/inpatient, labor, and OR beds.
    • Nurse Aides utilize scrub techs; unit has in-house hospitalist or intensivist coverage three nights a week.
    • In-house IV team, 24/7 RT and pharmacy services.
    • C-sections are performed on the unit, with high-risk OB patients managed on-site.
    • The unit is customer service oriented; interview questions should assess skills and experience in demanding environments.
    • Nurses perform their own exams and assessments and cannot insert IUPCs.
    • Orientation involves 2-3 shifts specific to the floor.
    • Certification requirements include ACLS, BLS (AHA), and NRP.
    • Shift hours are 12 hours; start date is 08/10/2026.
