L&D (Labor and Delivery) registered nurse position available in a healthcare facility. The role involves evaluating obstetric patients and assisting physicians with patient care related to labor, delivery, and postpartum care. The nurse will plan, implement, and document nursing activities based on patient needs, develop individualized care plans, perform therapeutic interventions, and advocate for evidence-based practices. This position emphasizes postpartum nursing with a focus on mother-baby couplet care.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, working three days per week, with every other weekend and three out of six holidays required. No on-call or float requirements.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license, American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, minimum of 3 years of mother-baby experience, and ASN education (preferred BSN).
  • Required Hard Skills: Mother-baby couplet care, postpartum nursing, patient assessment, care planning, therapeutic nursing interventions.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Additional experience or certifications such as AWHONN-Advanced or Clinical Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring (C-EFM).
