Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) in a hospital setting. This role involves performing independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards as defined by the state Board of Nursing. The RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for patients in the labor and delivery department, providing health teaching and counseling, and executing medical functions as delegated. The position requires adaptability to float within related departments and may include on-call duties.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, seven weekend shifts within an eight-week period, including a combination of Fridays and Saturdays, with three 12-hour call shifts during the same period.
  • Required Qualifications:
    • ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing) - Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required.
    • Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
    • BLS (American Heart Association) certification required.
    • ACLS (American Heart Association), NRP, and AWHONN or C-EFM certifications required.
    • One (1) year of nursing experience.
    • Single State or Compact RN License.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree of Nursing.
    • Additional certifications or relevant experience in labor and delivery nursing.
  • Additional Information:
    • May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications based on operational needs.
    • May be required to be placed on-call during scheduled shifts to ensure patient coverage.
