Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery (L&D) Specialist position is located in Douglas, Georgia. This role involves providing comprehensive care in a maternity setting, with responsibilities including patient monitoring, assisting with deliveries, and ensuring compliance with hospital policies. The candidate must be experienced in obstetric nursing and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment during night shifts.

Job Details:

  • Shift: Nights (12-hour shift)
  • Schedule: Nights, 36 hours per week, starting 08/10/2026
  • Required Qualifications: Valid BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications. Minimum of 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery or related obstetric nursing.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Centricity charting system and Paragon medication charting. Ability to take charge and handle high acuity cases.
  • Additional Information: This facility has 6 labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum (LDRP) rooms, 2 triage rooms, and 5 postpartum/ Womens Health Suites (WHS) rooms, with 2 neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) beds in nursery available ASAP. The unit follows AWHONN standards for patient ratios. The position may require occasional float to Mother Baby or other units as needed.
