Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse (L&D) positioned in the department of the labor and delivery unit. This role involves managing high-risk obstetric cases, assisting with deliveries, performing neonatal assessments, and providing postpartum care. The position offers the flexibility of a 12-hour night shift schedule, with a minimum commitment of 36 hours per week, from September 23, 2026, to December 23, 2026.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Kansas (KS) or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission; BLS, American Heart Association Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification in hand at time of submission; 2 years of clinical experience in Labor and Delivery or related field
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high-risk obstetric patient management; experience with electronic fetal monitoring (EFM); strong skills in obstetrical procedures including cesarean sections, vaginal deliveries, and neonatal assessments
  • Additional Information: Position includes care of the laboring patient with high-risk conditions, support for obstetric procedures such as amniocentesis and external cephalic versions, and neonatal care protocols including resuscitation and assessments. Travelers may be required to float within the scope of practice to similar units per facility needs. Modules are completed onsite during orientation and recorded via transcripts.
