Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse specializing in the Labor and Delivery Department is sought for a night shift position. This role involves providing high-quality obstetrical care to a diverse patient population, including neonates and adults, within a facility with 15 beds and 100-200 births per month. The position offers flexibility with a choice of 36 or 48-hour weekly schedules and is open to first-time travelers.
Job Details:
- Certifications: ACLS; AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, and NRP (pending certifications are acceptable).
- Education Requirements: Relevant L&D nursing certification and licensure.
- Location Requirements: Must be licensed or eligible to obtain licensure in the state of practice.
- Years of Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
- Responsibilities include antepartum care, assisting with high-risk and vaginal deliveries, circulating for cesarean sections, managing insulin drips, and monitoring electronic fetal heart data.
- Candidates should have experience with obstetrical patient triage, sterile procedures, and the use of external fetal monitoring units.
- Additional qualifications include experience with facility births, central line maintenance, and PPE protocols.
- Floating to similar units may be required as needed.
