Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) nursing professionals are responsible for providing direct patient care to expectant mothers and newborns before, during, and immediately after childbirth. This role involves monitoring maternal and fetal vital signs, managing pain, assisting with both vaginal and surgical deliveries, and educating families on postpartum recovery. The position requires a high level of clinical critical thinking and the ability to work independently within a fast-paced environment.

  • Schedule: Shift Time Nights; Hours per shift 12 hours; Minimum hours per week 36 hours
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); current state nursing license; no minimum years of experience required; ability to work night shifts as scheduled; located in the United States, specifically in Oklahoma.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with labor and delivery; certification in Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM); strong patient education skills; clinical experience with maternal and neonatal populations.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: Provides critical care to expectant mothers and newborns, monitoring vital signs, managing labor pain, assisting with deliveries, and postpartum education. Traveler will be required to work up to 6 weekend shifts and holidays as needed per department needs.
