Registered Nurse (RN) - OB/GYN Emergency Department

General Information

Join our team as a registered nurse in the OB/GYN Emergency Department, where you will provide critical care to patients in a vibrant and supportive environment.

Unit Specifics

• Number of Beds: 12
• Patient Ratios: 1:2
• Unit Staffing Description: RNs, unit secretary, OR techs
• Documentation System: CPN, Meditach
• Scheduling Requirements: 3 weekend shifts, 1 call shift for RNs, 2 call shifts for techs, 3 twelve-hour shifts
• Floating Policy: Travelers float first
• Patient Experience Requirements: Shared decision making

Certifications Required

• AWHONN Intermediate (not advanced) or CEFM
• ACLS
• BLS
• NRP

Hiring Profile

Requested Skill Set: Labor and Delivery Experience

Required Experience: Minimum of 2 years L&D experience.

Advanced Skills Needed

• Care of the laboring patient
• Care of the newborn immediately after delivery
• Circulate and recover C-section patients

Procedures Performed on Unit

• Vaginal deliveries
• C-Sections
• D&C
• Cerclage
• Epidural anesthesia
• Tubal labor

Dress Code

Uniforms: Scrubs are not provided by the hospital. Acceptable colors include Ceil Blue, Navy Blue, or Gray.
