Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN Nurse Lead for Labor and Delivery, requiring at least 5 years of RN experience, 2+ years supervisory experience, and Charge Nurse background with a CA RN license.
Details
- Labor and Delivery unit within an acute care hospital featuring a Level III NICU and county designated trauma center
- Night shift schedule of 3x12-hour shifts, 6:00 PM-6:30 AM, with no set/rotating schedule
- No on-call requirements
- EPIC EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required (AHA or ARC approved)
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification within the last 2 years required
- Minimum 5 years of RN experience required
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience required
- Charge Nurse experience required
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent combination of education/experience required
- Master's Degree preferred
- EPIC EMR experience required
Additional Information
- Provides unit-based leadership working collaboratively with Nurse Manager, Director, physicians, and staff
- Supervises and directs nursing and ancillary personnel using professional and supervisory judgment
- Coordinates individual and team care conferences to develop and revise patient care plans
- Monitors staff performance to ensure quality patient care and safety
- Makes patient rounds and solicits feedback on quality of nursing services
- Fosters a patient and family-centered care environment with attention to cultural diversity
- Develops strategies with leadership to improve patient, family, and physician satisfaction
- Accepts local candidates at the same rate as travel positions with no radius rule
- Candidates with more than 5 days of requested RTO will be automatically declined
