Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a rural critical access hospital requiring NM or compact licensure and NRP certification.

Details

  • Rural critical access hospital LDRP unit with 4 LDRP rooms, 1 triage room, and well baby nursery
  • Night shift schedule (3x12 or 4x12 hours, 18:00-6:30) with alternating 36/48 hour weeks on a 7on/7off block rotation
  • Every other weekend required
  • No call requirements
  • Task floating required, including mandatory floating within the hospital or to an affiliate hospital for closed departments
  • Patient ratio of 1:1
  • Uses Cerner EMR

Requirements

  • Active NM or compact RN license required in hand
  • Minimum 2 years of experience required
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP
  • AWHONN Advanced and AWHONN Intermediate certifications preferred
  • S.T.A.B.L.E certification required
  • Cerner charting experience required
  • Two professional references required

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care within the LDRP and triage settings alongside well baby nursery support
  • All RTO must be submitted at time of initial consideration; no RTO requests after submission will be accepted
  • No RTO approved around holidays and candidates should expect to work some holidays
  • Local candidates within 100 miles of the facility are not accepted
  • Previous travelers at this facility are welcome to reapply; permanent staff seeking to travel require facility approval
