Join a leading acute-care hospital in Seattle, WA, as a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN). This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a high-risk, high-volume labor and delivery unit. We are seeking dedicated professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments and are committed to providing exceptional care to mothers and newborns.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide care for midwifery clients and private OBs, supporting adult recovery services and community care clinics.
• Function in the role of Baby Nurse during delivery, ensuring continuous care of the newborn until transfer to postpartum.
• Float to sister facilities that offer Mother/Baby care as needed.
• Administer medications and perform assessments, including Heparin, Insulin, Magnesium Sulfate, and Vitamin K injections for newborns.
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to meet AWHONN guidelines and ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Patient Diagnoses: High-risk pregnancies, midwifery clients, and substance recovery support.

Unit Details:

• Average Daily Census: 15 patients/day
• Monthly Deliveries: 500-600
• Number of ORs: 4
• Bed Capacity: 31

Certifications Required: BLS, NRP

Preferred Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate

We welcome applications from RNs with at least 1 year of experience, including high-risk experience. First-time travelers are accepted, and pre-approved time off will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Candidates must be willing to work every other weekend and holidays as needed.
