Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) in Seattle, WA. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a high-risk, high-volume Labor & Delivery (L&D) unit. As part of a dedicated team, you will provide exceptional care to mothers and newborns, ensuring a safe and supportive environment during the delivery process.

**Key Responsibilities:**

Function as the Baby Nurse during delivery and continue care of the newborn until transfer to postpartum.
Provide high-quality care for midwifery clients, private OBs, and adult recovery services supporting substance recovery.
Float to sister facilities that provide Mother/Baby care as needed.
Conduct assessments and administer medications including Heparin, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate.
Ensure compliance with AWHONN guidelines and maintain electronic fetal monitoring.
Participate in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment with an average daily census of 15 and 500-600 deliveries per month.

**Requirements:**

1 year of experience in Labor & Delivery with high-risk experience.
Must have an active compact license.
Certifications: Required - BLS, NRP; Preferred - ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate.
Ability to work every other weekend and holidays as needed.
Pre-approved time off will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

**Facility Details:**

High-risk, high-volume L&D unit with 4 ORs and 31 beds.
Schedule is posted every 6 weeks to meet unit needs.
