Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) in Seattle, WA. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced RN looking to make a difference in the lives of mothers and newborns in a high-risk, high-volume environment. Our facility is known for its commitment to quality care and adherence to AWHONN guidelines.

This 8-week contract position features a night shift schedule of 4x12 hours, running from 19:00 to 07:30. We are seeking candidates with at least 1 year of experience in labor and delivery, particularly those with high-risk experience. First-time travelers are welcome to apply!

Key responsibilities include:

Providing care for midwifery clients and private OBs
Supporting adult recovery services for substance recovery
Floating to sister facilities that provide Mother/Baby care as needed
Functioning in the role of Baby Nurse during delivery and continuing care of the newborn until transfer to postpartum
Administering required medications and assessments for newborns

Requirements for this position include:

1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery
High-risk experience is mandatory
Current BLS and NRP certifications are required
Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate

Additional details:

Average Daily Census: 15 patients/day; 500-600 deliveries/month
Facility has 31 beds and 4 operating rooms
Schedule is posted every 6 weeks to meet unit needs
