Join our team as a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse in Seattle, WA, where you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. This contract position offers the opportunity to work in a high-risk, high-volume Labor and Delivery unit, supporting a diverse range of patients and their families.

As a Labor and Delivery RN, you will be responsible for:

• Providing care for midwifery clients and private OBs, as well as supporting adult recovery services and community care clinics.
• Functioning in the role of Baby Nurse during deliveries and continuing care of newborns until transfer to postpartum.
• Circulating and providing newborn care, including eye care, vitamin K injections, and assessments.
• Adhering to AWHONN guidelines and ensuring all procedures are performed in compliance with established protocols.
• Floating to sister facilities that provide Mother/Baby care as needed.

Requirements for this position include:

• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a high acuity and high pace environment, with a strong preference for candidates with 5 years of high-risk experience.
• Current supervisory references and proof of required certifications (BLS, NRP; ACLS and AWHONN certifications preferred).
• Experience with electronic fetal monitoring and EPIC HARDSTOP protocols.
• Ability to work every other weekend and holidays as needed.
• Must pass clinical review and provide proof of current NURSYS.

Average daily census in the unit is 15 patients, with 500-600 deliveries per month. The unit features 31 rooms and beds, with a schedule posted every 6 weeks to meet unit needs.
