Join our team as a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) in Seattle, WA! This is an exciting opportunity for experienced RNs to work in a high-risk, high-volume labor and delivery unit. We are seeking dedicated professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments and are passionate about providing exceptional care to mothers and newborns.

Key Responsibilities:

• Function as a Baby Nurse during delivery and provide continuous care of the newborn until transfer to postpartum.
• Circulate and provide newborn care, including administering Vitamin K injections and conducting newborn assessments.
• Support midwifery clients and private OBs, as well as adult recovery services and community care clinics.
• Float to postpartum and antepartum units as needed, and may float to sister facilities that provide Mother/Baby care.
• Adhere to AWHONN guidelines and participate in clinical reviews.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in high acuity and high-paced environments; 5 years of high-risk experience preferred.
• Current supervisory references and proof of required certifications are mandatory upon submission.
• Must pass a clinical review; candidates without proof of current NURSYS will not be considered.
• Experience with electronic fetal monitoring and EPIC HARDSTOP is valued.
• Certifications: Required - BLS, NRP; Preferred - ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate.

Unit Details:

• High-risk/high-volume L&D unit with an average daily census of 15 patients and 500-600 deliveries per month.
• 31 rooms and beds available in the unit.
• Schedule is posted every 6 weeks to meet unit needs.
