Requirements

  • RTO: Must be submitted upfront; maximum 3 days
  • No RTO during the first 2 weeks

Job Description / Duties / Responsibilities Provide care for low- and high-risk L&D patients. Manage neonates, adolescents, and adults. Circulate for C-sections. Perform and interpret external fetal monitoring. Recognize and treat abnormal fetal heart rate patterns. Float to Perinatal as needed. Participate in mandatory on-call coverage. Unit / Facility Information Unit: Labor & Delivery Unit Setup: 4 Triage, 11 LDR, 2 OR, NICU & Post-Partum Beds: 11 Support: 24 OB hospitalist & OB anesthesia Patient Population: Neonates, Adolescents, Adults Systems: SBAR, Omnicell, eMD Allscripts Interdisciplinary Support: Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Unit Secretary Schedule Shift: 19:00–07:30 Schedule: 3×12-hour nights Weekends: 4 weekend shifts/month, Friday or Saturday nights Call: Mandatory, approximately 2 times/month in addition to scheduled shifts May be placed on call if RN is not needed for scheduled shift Must be willing to float to Perinatal Submission / Compliance Active CA license and required certifications must be included at submission.
