Description

American Traveler is hiring a Labor and Delivery RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2 years of experience and Advanced AWHONN certification.

Details

  • Labor and Delivery unit within an acute care, Magnet-designated hospital
  • Patient ratio of 1:2
  • Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
  • No weekend requirement
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Floating required between like units and sister facilities within the state
  • Uses Epic EMR
  • Scrubs of any color accepted, L&D and OR scrubs provided

Requirements

  • Active CA RN license required
  • Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
  • Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, Advanced AWHONN, and LA City Fire Card
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Skilled in Labor and Delivery management and circulating for C-sections
  • Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years

Additional Information

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care within the Labor and Delivery unit, including circulating for C-sections
  • Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
  • RTO must be submitted upfront at time of application for consideration
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
  • Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
  • Free parking available on-site
