Description

American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring 3+ years of L&D experience and fetal monitoring certification.

Details

  • Labor & Delivery Unit providing comprehensive obstetric care from 20 weeks gestation through 6 weeks postpartum
  • Unit includes 14 Labor & Delivery rooms, OB Triage Unit, OB Operating Rooms, and OB PACU
  • Recently expanded with five new Labor & Delivery rooms featuring state-of-the-art equipment
  • Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours (19:00-7:30)
  • Rotating holidays and weekends required
  • Block scheduling is not available
  • Patient ratio of 1:1-2
  • Meditech charting system preferred

Requirements

  • Active Maryland RN license or Compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
  • Minimum 3 years of current, strong Labor & Delivery RN experience
  • OB Triage experience required
  • Previous travel nursing experience required
  • BLS and NRP certification required
  • C-EFM certification (through NCC or AWHONN) preferred, or AWHONN Intermediate accepted with requirement to obtain C-EFM if contract extends to 1 year or more
  • ACLS and AWHONN Advanced certifications preferred
  • Experience with Labor and Delivery management and circulating for C-sections
  • Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
  • Charge nurse experience preferred

  • Located in Frederick, Maryland, a historic city near Baltimore and Washington, D.C.

  • Pre-start modules required, averaging 4-5 hours, to be completed no later than 1 week prior to start
  • Accepts local candidates with no radius rule and consistent pay rates
