Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring a CT or compact RN license and 2+ years of current L&D experience.

Details

  • Delivery Room department within a hospital setting
  • Responsible for intermittent electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) and interpretation of fetal heart rate tracings (Category I-III)
  • Manages spontaneous vaginal deliveries and assisted births
  • Manages high-risk labor cases including IUGR, preeclampsia, and gestational diabetes
  • Performs induction and augmentation of labor including Pitocin protocols and cervical ripening agents
  • Performs amnioinfusion procedures
  • Serves as C-section circulator and manages surgical patients
  • Night shift, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM, 12.5-hour shifts
  • Requires 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
  • Floating to Maternity, Pediatrics, and NICU as needed

Requirements

  • Active CT or compact RN license
  • BLS and ACLS certification (AHA only)
  • NRP-Advanced certification
  • AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification required (Advanced EFM not accepted)
  • NCC C-EFM certification required within one year of first assignment
  • 2+ years of current labor and delivery experience required
  • Two professional references from a manager or above, from the current discipline/specialty within the prior year

Additional Information

  • Holiday coverage required per facility schedule
  • Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a reduced rate
  • Candidates with prior work history at Northwell or Nuvance Health locations are subject to an eligibility review process before being considered
  • Uses Kronos for timekeeping
  • C-EFM certification on day one is strongly preferred
